If the Driver’s re-installation fails, you will need to access another computer with a working Internet connection to download the latest Ethernet Controller Drivers. You can download Drivers by using hardware ID. Below are the steps you need to follow on your system
Open the Device Manager
Go to Other Devices and right-click on Ethernet Controllers and select Properties
In the Properties window, go to the Details tab
Under Property, select Hardware Ids from the drop-down list
Note down the first value which looks something like PCIVEN_XXXX&DEV_XXXX&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_10 (where X represents a number)
Next, open the other laptop, download the relevant Drivers, copy them onto an external drive and then transfer them to your first laptop, and finally install the Drivers. If you wish you can use a driver update tool to automate this process for you.
